As part of the President’s agenda to improve educational infrastructure, increase accessibility and boost quality of education in the country, the Biakoye District on 6th June, 2022 received with joy 200 pieces of mono-desks from the Government of Ghana.
The Biakoye District Chief Executive Hon. Milicent Kabuki Carboo on this day Tuesday, 21st June, 2022 during a short ceremony handed over the desks to the District Director of Education for distribution to schools that are dying in need of furniture. Hon. DCE charged the Education Director to take good care of the desks.
Hon. DCE also used this as an opportunity to advice the pupils of the SDA basic school, Nkonya Ntsumuru especially the female pupils that nothing should deter them from going to school even in unlikely event that they are pregnant. She entreated them to be obedient to their teachers, parents and all elderly ones.
The District Director of Education, Madam Roselyn Kafui Ofori with a sigh of relieve received the items with joy and appreciation to the President of the Republic, His Excellence Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo. She stated that the District is in need of desks and that this quantity will help reduce the deficit margin. She further promised that the desks will be put to good use to promote quality education in the District.
