Hon. Millicent
Kabuki Carboo

Hon. Millicent Kabuki Carboo was born in Accra in the Greater Accra Region, the third of six children. She had her basic education at Accra from 1970 – 1980 at the ELTA International School, Lartebiokorshie. After passing her Common Entrance Examination in 1980, she gained admission in Accra Girls’ Secondary School in 1980-1984. She graduated from Agence D’or Language and Secretarial Institute (1998-2000) with a Diploma after have attended the Sackey Addo Secretarial and Sight and Sound Secretarial Schools between 1986 to 1989.

Having been resident in the Biakoye District for the past twelve years, Hon. Kiki has a rich background in the organization of women and the youth. She was one time the Biakoye Constituency Women Organizer on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party. She was also a Parliamentary Aspirant during the 2015 Parliamentary Primaries. She has played key roles in the recruitment of many young men and women into white collar jobs, fields of agriculture, security services, health, education and transport services.
The Hon. Millicent Carboo is well known for outreach programs, bringing together health workers, traditional and religious leaders to undertake different outreaches in health and Health advocacy, education and career guidance, political and leadership mentoring programs. Also, as an ardent believer in rural development, her dream is that Biakoye District will be self-sufficient and attractive for Tourism and Agriculture. Again she believes in Aquaponics which is a food production system that couples aquaculture with hydroponics whereby the nutrient rich water from fish ponds are used to grow plants for maximum yield.

EDUCATION

In the area of education, she has initiated a volunteer education group by name ‘EDUCATE BIAKOYE’ and already, the group is chalking some successes. She is affable and has a great sense of humor and is open to all. For those who know her, they admire her to a fault.
