`The Biakoye District Chief Executive Hon. Millicent Kabuki Carboo on Thursday, 6th July, 2023 during a short ceremony handed over 100 dual desks to the District Director of Education for distribution to schools that are dying in need of furniture at Worawora. The Hon. DCE charged the Education Director to take good care of the desks.
Hon. DCE also used the opportunity to advice the pupils of the EP Primary School, Worawora especially the female pupils that nothing should deter them from going to school and also refrain from sexual immorality and concentrate on their education since that is the only key to their successes in life.
”Through the District Education Oversight Committee (DEOC), my outfit has been able to provide and supplied 1,000 pieces of dual desks to schools in the district which represents 17% of total desk deficit solved in 7 months”, she disclosed.
Madam Roselyn Kafui Ofori, the District Director of Education, with a sigh of relieve, received the items with joy and appreciation to the DCE saying that this quantity will help reduce the deficit margin. She further promised that the desks will be put to good use to promote quality education in the District.
”So you see that our DCE has education at heart. She is interested in STEM Education and spearheading it in the district. I therefore urge you all to be of good behavior”, she told the pupils present.
