Today experienced the beginning of another milestone in education as a sod was cut for the building of a one storey 12 classroom block for Worawora Senior High School in Biakoye District. The project is sponsored by Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND). The aim of this project is to create more space for students of the school to learn and also to grow the population of the school.
During the address of all gathered, the Distrct Chief Executive, Hon. Millicent K. Carboo, said, government places a lot of premium on education and it is the policy of the NPP government, to bring education to the doorstep of the youth of the country. The regional minister, Hon. Joshua Makubu said, students of today must count themselves lucky for enjoying the free SHS policy by the Akufo-Addo led government. Speaker after speaker all praised the sitting government for investing heavily in education.
The project is expected to last for 12 calender months from start to finish.
Present were Nananom, regional director of GES, ORCC Chief director, the Development Planning Officer, BDA Ag. DCD, District GES Director, the District GES HR who doubles as the District Assembly’s Presiding Member, the District’s Engineer all protocols observed.
