The District Chief Executive for Biakoye District, Hon. Millicent Kabuki Carboo, led the Worawora Senior High School and received the ultimate prize of a SCIENCE LABORATORY with its value of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00).
The team was made up of the Development Chief of the Worawora Traditional Area and his wife, Barima Dr. & Mrs. Owusu Afari, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Michael Damesi, some members of the school’s Board of Governors in the persons of Mr. George Otempong Dankwa, Madam Apee, some past and current students of the school as well. The seriousness of the Robotics Club and its esteemed teachers was duly recognized by the GHANA EDUCATION AWARDS as the STEM SCHOOL of the year 2022/2023. WORASEC for the past years have taken STEM education to a different level. The Thirty Thousand Dollars Science Lab facility will go a long way to enhance the lot of students of the the school. Mr. Daniel Aboagye, a staff of the MIS Dept. of the Biakoye District Assembly was instrumental in the practical works of the Robotics Club of the school.
Ayekoo to all who contributed in diverse ways to get us to our current level. We shall PERSEVERE, take INITIATIVES, and hold our INTERGRITY high as our school’s motto says and change the narrative of WORASEC being a Category ‘C’ school to a Science School and to a Category ‘A’ school. We wish to say a big thank you to the Education Minister, Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum, organizers of the program NUGS, (National Union of Ghanaian Students), the STEM Ambassador Miss Sarah Amoani, and all unseen hands who made the program a success.
