The Project Consultant of the 24-Hour Market Project, Fast Thinkers Consult together with other stakeholders, including the Biakoye District Assembly, led by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Eric Opong Kwaku; the District Engineer; Nananom, led by Nana Osei Bonsu I, Tapa Abotoase Hene and Gyasehene of the Tapa Traditional Area; and the Assembly Member for the Aboabo Electoral Area, Hon. Otumfuo Theophilus, inspected the progress of work at the 24-Hour Market project site at Tapa Abotoase.
The Contractor, Be Nice Construction, took the team through the project site and provided details of the various components of the market. These include stalls, stores, cold rooms, a Fire Service office, a Police Post, a daycare centre, a Women’s Development Bank facility, among other important facilities.
The visit was intended to assess progress of work and identify challenges being faced by the Contractor, Be Nice Construction, the client, Biakoye District Assembly, and Nananom, as key stakeholders in the project.
The Project Consultant, Nananom, and the District Assembly expressed their satisfaction with the pace and quality of work so far.
Stakeholders were also pleased to hear from the Contractor that the project had encountered relatively few challenges and that there had been good cooperation from the local community.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Eric Opong, appealed to the contractor to continue to do quality work and also advised the Assembly Members and the people of Tapa Abotoase to report any shoddy work they might identify to the Assembly as early as possible for action to be taken promptly.
