Tapa Abotoase
Honourable Millicent Carboo (The DCE of Biakoye District Assembly) joined the deputy chief Imam of Tapa Abotoase Muslim community, Moslem clerics, and thousands of moslem faithfuls in celebrating Eid Ul Adha at the Nuriya Islamic School Prayer Grounds. Extending the greetings of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and that of the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the DCE personally also felicitated the gathering warmly. Summarizing the message of the incoming President, H. E. Dr. Bawumia to the faithful, she reiterated the fact that obedience and sacrifice go hand in hand. Prophet Ibrahim obeyed Allah’s voice, and that made him sacrifice Is-mail. As followers of Islam, it behoves on Muslims across the globe and here present to live by the tenets of Islam.
Kwamekrom Zongo
The DCE visited the Sariki of Kwamekrom Zongo ( Hasiru Abubakar Musah, aka Baafada) deputy Imam, Adamu Mohammed Sani, some female pillars of the community namely, Madam Zaria Ibrahim and Madam Hawa Mohammed and shared the occassion’s message with them.
Kwamekrom New Town Zongo
In a similar feat, she visited the Kwamekrom New Town Sariki and the elders of the community. Sariki Alhassan Amadu, aka Papa Jerry. Welcoming them, he said it was the first time a District Chief Executive to Biakoye District Assembly had called on them in their community. she shared the Vice President’s message with them amongst other conversations.
With her were some officers of the Ghana Navy. Others were Mr. Sam Owusu-Acheampong, Mr. Hamidu Ibrahim, Mr. Sanda Ibrahim, Mr. Kris Carboo, Mrs. Stefanie Afari Yeboah, and Mr. Ivan Appiah
