ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for determining the overall vision and objectives for health of a population in a defined area of public health and reporting periodically on the outcomes for necessary action.
To provide direction in the management of all areas of health service delivery in the district and to advise the MMDA on health matters.
Be responsible for the day-to- day administration of the service in the district.
Provide leadership and supervisory role in the execution of all health programs and health activities in the district.
Monitor the implementation of both clinical and public health interventions including disease control and surveillance, Maternal Neonatal and Child Health Promotion (MNCHP) and adolescent health in the district.
Undertake any other responsibilities that may be assigned
Preventive and curative health care services.
Expanded programme on Immunization and disease surveillance activities.
Health promotion activities including health talks and health screening services.
Maternal, neonatal, child health, adolescent health care and nutritional health care services.
Health data collection for research purposes and to guide health policies.
Supportive Supervision and Monitoring of health facilities to ensure safety to clients.
Any other services needed to address any acute, sub-acute and/or chronic health problems within a defined area/community.
